Becca Edwards

Becca Edwards graduated with honors from Washington and Lee University (Lexington, Virginia) with a B.A. in journalism and with honors from Savannah College of Art and Design (Savannah, Georgia) with a M.F.A. in writing. A long time athlete and yogi, Becca contributes articles that promote fitness, wellness and mindfulness to multiple publications.

For twenty years, Becca has also earned various certifications in such yoga modalities as Ashtanga, Integral, Prenatal, Thai and Children’s. She is also a certified holistic health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, certified birth doula from DONA International, and certified barre instructor.

Becca has led several talks on women’s wellness, has helped several women achieve such health goals as overcoming infertility, weight loss, anxiety reduction and improved sleep (just to name a few), and assists in several births a year.

Her husband and their three daughters live on Calibogue Sound in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and are avid sailors on their 62-foot schooner, Leopard, as well as all triathletes.

Laura Fromdahl

Laura earned a degree in physical therapy. She continued her education studying McKenzie spine, Mulligan manual therapy, aquatic rehabilitation, rehab and sports medicine, evaluation and treatment of the injured runner, medical screening and differential diagnosis, ankle rehabilitation and orthotics fabrication, and is a certified ergonomist (CEASIII) and USAT Tri Coach.

As a triathlete, surfer, martial artist, and physical therapist, Laura truly understands the athlete’s mind, body and spirit. She is dedicated to empowering others and passionate about providing guidance, access and encouragement to those beginning and continuing their triathlon journey, as well as other fitness aspirations. Her mission—quite simply—is to help others recognize and transcend self-imposed limits.

By performing a comprehensive functional screen (even from afar), and setting short term attainable goals, she can safely guide and coach others to accomplish their goals. Her coaching experience includes successfully coaching beginners to advanced athletes to finish sprint and Olympic triathlons and half Ironman and full Ironman, open water swims, 5Ks, 10Ks, 15Ks, and half marathons and full marathon distances.

Committed to community service, Laura has taught seminars on core strengthening, running gait mechanics, bike safety, injury prevention and race nutrition, created and directed five sprint triathlons and several 5Ks for beginner female athletes, helped start and served as president of HHI Tri Club, and served on the Board of the Hilton Head Island Recreation Center.
